Mathco was founded in 1995 by its owner/manager, Alan Matherne, with one primary objective:

". . . provide cutting edge capabilities to individuals and organizations by developing real world applications and solutions from current emerging technologies. "

Matherne is uniquely qualified to provide leadership in this endeavor. As a faculty member at Louisiana State University for more than fifteen years, he has conducted research and provided training and learning opportunities for individuals ranging from the barely literate to persons recognized as experts in their field. This has resulted in successful technology transfer from basic and applied research materials to actual "real world" applications, and visa versa.

Matherne also has nearly thirty years of experience in working with personal computers. From utilization of emerging Apple and PC systems in 1981 for word processing, database, and programming applications to current Windows, Internet, and Web development on state-of-the-art Internet-worked server/PC/phone/PDA systems . . . he has always attempted to keep abreast of current technological developments and, as much as possible, stay on the "cutting edge" of computing, communications, and information technologies.

In addition to in-house staff, Mathco utilizes a network of professional consultants, distributors, and manufacturers to provide expertise in all of the major computing and information technology areas.

"We can put together real world solutions in today's complex business environment by developing and utilizing the best tools, techniques, and talent available in the industry."
