Spellbook (a collection of personal poetry, verse, & song lyrics)

ollowing are links to some of my original verse. I write simple, straightforward poetry that rhymes. I detest the contemporary form of free verse in which the "poet?" seems to think that it's his job to write over the heads of everyone, just to prove how many large words he knows. These are written from the heart, and express my personal feelings in as simple yet eloquent a manner as I could manage. The dates of these poems may or may not reflect the actual date of the poem's origin, rather the completion date in some instances. Some of these poems have lain unfinished and dormant for some time before I finally managed to complete them.

It's been said that my site appears to come from an unattached and available man. It flatters me greatly that some several women have come forward expressing a romantic interest sparked by my verse. Not to be rude, but please don't do this. The "powers that be" will become the "powers that behead". I tend to prefer mine where it is now. The management appreciates your cooperation.
